The Burlington Democratic Nominating Caucus for Town Meeting Day 2026 will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Nominations will be made for City Council candidates in Wards 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, as well as for Inspectors of Elections and Ward Clerks. This is a truly hybrid event, and full participation is possible both on site and virtually.

FAST FACTS

• Participation in the Caucus is open to all registered voters who reside in Burlington and are not participating in another party's Caucus.

• The deadline to register will be 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6. 

• All registered caucus participants will receive an email confirming their eligibility to vote on a rolling basis, no later than 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 7. 

• Those wishing to attend in person should indicate so on this form, and will receive confirmation via email if there is capacity. 

• There is no option to vote early and all voting will begin after nominations and candidate speeches are complete. 

• Eligible, registered participants will receive a virtual ballot at the email address listed on this form when voting opens at the conclusion of the proceedings on January 8, around 7:30 pm.

• All voting will be done by virtual secret ballot, and must be completed 90 minutes after receipt. 
   

Participation and voting will be hybrid, offering both in-person and virtual options. The virtual vote will be administered using a secure, reputable voting platform via a secret ballot. Eligible voters will receive a virtual ballot at the email address listed on this form when voting opens at the conclusion of the proceedings.
